Dual-sport versatility — tarmac and dirt.
DS MY26
EFFORTLESS POWER
The Zero DS is the spearhead of Zero Motorcycles’ dual sport range, and never before has an 11kW motorcycle been so capable. The all-new Zero DS delivers all the torque you need to conquer any route, from trails and country roads to daily commutes in the city. The Zero DS features fully upgraded capabilities thanks to its new battery, all-new styling and brand-new motor. It is a serious contender for everyday use. Electrify your rides with the Zero DS.
Z-FORCE 75-7
The all-new Z-Force 75-7 motor is Zero’s latest evolution in a long line of motors with improved thermal performance, passive air cooling and internal permanent-magnet AC design. The Z-Force 75-7 uses the outer casing of the DSR/X — the flagship of Zero’s dual sport range — for faster heat dissipation, while the internal architecture has been modified to maximise power and drastically reduce weight. The result is lower cost and class-leading performance in the 11kW dual sport electric motorcycle category.
DYNAMIC SWINGARM SYSTEM
Like the flagship Zero DSR/X, the DS features the exclusive, reinforced coaxial motor-and-swingarm layout. This architecture ensures constant belt tension and maximum torque at the rear wheel. The specially designed swingarm with its large bearing provides the space needed for the high-performance motor, while the narrow frame improves rider ergonomics and the motorcycle’s agility, whether in city traffic or on dirt roads.
TOTAL CONTROL
The Zero DS has been upgraded with the latest-generation Cypher III+ operating system and a series of standard performance features. Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC), including the Offroad MSC also found on the DSR/X, combines power and technology. Instant power meets intuitive control, setting a new standard for premium performance at an accessible price. The Zero DS is a customisable motorcycle with a drivetrain that handles different terrains and conditions with ease.
CYPHER III+
Cypher III+ is the absolute standard in electric motorcycle operating systems — the “conductor” behind all of the Zero DS’s instruments. The motorcycle is fully customisable, with the ability to add new Cypher features through the NextGen app. Upgrade your riding experience with ultimate flexibility and control.
FULL RIDE CONTROL
The Zero DS features multiple ride modes that let the rider tailor the motorcycle’s performance through the NextGen app and the instrument display. Rain, Eco, Standard, Sport and Canyon modes come pre-installed, along with the ability to create nearly unlimited custom setups. These settings can be saved for use in both on-road and off-road conditions.
SEAMLESS CONNECTIVITY
The Zero DS isn’t just connected — it’s truly “smart”, thanks to Cypher III+ and available over-the-air updates (OTA – Over The Air). The rider can customise the display, access the NextGen app and take advantage of unlimited capabilities. Modern technology and class-leading power make the DS the ultimate choice, with uninterrupted connectivity in every detail.
THE CONNECTED MOTORCYCLE
The Zero DS is constantly connected via cellular networks, streaming information to the NextGen app in real time. The app provides access to information such as the motorcycle’s status and location. Connectivity enables monitoring in four key areas: status & alerts, charging, ride data sharing and OTA updates.
ADVANCED APP
The NextGen app works together with the display and Cypher III+, creating a complete ecosystem of features. With one tap you can add new Cypher features, activate faster charging, Parking Mode, ride-mode selection and creation, custom display settings, scheduled charging and much more.
11kW – THE SAME THRILL WITH AN A1 LICENCE.
Looking for an electric motorcycle that combines excitement with easy riding? Zero Motorcycles’ S, DS, XE and LS1 models are available with the powerful 11kW motor. The Zero DS stands out as a sporty and agile choice, offering a class-leading riding experience.
Licence requirements in Greece:
To ride the 11kW models, an A1-category licence is required, which riders aged 18 and over can obtain. Holders of a category B (car) licence can also ride an 11kW motorcycle, in accordance with current Greek legislation.
Z-FORCE 15.6+ BATTERY
The Z-FORCE 15.6+ kWh lithium-ion battery requires no maintenance and gives the Zero DS a city range of 249 km. The rider can extend the range even further with the available Power Tank accessory (requires installation by an authorised workshop). The battery’s class-leading power and energy density, combined with the aluminium housing acting as a heat conductor, ensure stable cell cooling and long-term top drivetrain performance.
RAPID CHARGE SYSTEM
The Zero DS’s Rapid Charge System is adjustable for different charging levels, while the standard version features a powerful 3.3 kW charger. For even faster charging, you can have the available Rapid Charging Module installed by an authorised workshop, boosting the built-in charger’s power. Alternatively, you can use the supplied EVSE cable to charge the Zero DS from any regular wall socket overnight.
Z-FORCE 75-7 Motor
The Z-Force 75-7 motor delivers 132 Nm of torque and 45 kW (60 hp) of power, effortlessly moving the Zero DS to a top speed of 139 km/h. The combination of the famed brushless architecture with internal permanent magnets and the compact, passively air-cooled design ensures class-leading performance and high energy efficiency.
Frame
Although the Zero DS appears to use the same steel trellis frame as Zero Motorcycles’ street bikes, the similarities end there. The frame has been upgraded for maximum durability while reducing weight as much as possible, so it can withstand any type of terrain. The drivetrain is ideally distributed, creating a balanced chassis with centralised mass.
The Zero DS’s components are positioned differently to optimise adventure use, offering 24.6 cm of ground clearance — best in class. Combined with the coaxial, reinforced Dynamic Swingarm System (Power Pivot), which can handle heavier loads and more demanding conditions, the motorcycle’s architecture together with the Showa adventure suspension delivers agile, safe and fully controlled riding on every route.
Linked Braking
The Zero DS features linked braking. It is controlled by the integrated Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control System and activates instantly upon detecting loss of grip or slip. The system simultaneously applies the right braking force to the front and rear wheels, offering additional control when climbing or descending on steep and loose surfaces.
The Zero DS is equipped with J.Juan 4-piston radial calipers with radial master cylinders on the 320×5 mm front discs, while the rear wheel uses a pair of J.Juan 2×25 mm pistons applying force to a 265×4.5 mm disc, ensuring absolute braking control in every condition.
Crisp Display
Customise the instrument display any way you like, or let the industry-leading automatic contrast system do all the work for you. Choose which motorcycle information you want displayed and read it clearly on the full-colour 12.7 cm TFT screen. Multifunctional navigation allows ride-mode changes on the move, cruise-control activation and many more capabilities.
Adjustable Suspension
The Zero DS offers smooth riding on any type of terrain or load, thanks to the upgraded suspension for your ADV excursions. The Showa 47 mm front fork provides 18.7 cm of travel and fully adjustable settings. In addition, the practical preload adjustment knob on the new Showa rear shock allows easy adjustment for a passenger or fully loaded optional TRAX ADV panniers (sold separately).
Wheels & Tyres
The Zero DS can tackle almost any obstacle thanks to its exceptionally light and durable cast wheels, 19” front and 17” rear. These wheels carry Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres, offering consistent, class-leading performance on every type of surface.
For riders who want to turn the Zero DS into a fully off-road, trail-ready machine, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres are available, offering even greater grip and durability on demanding trails.
Powerful Drive System
Zero Motorcycles partnered with Gates Carbon Belt Drive, the leader in belt-drive technologies for powersports, to develop a completely new belt drive system for the Zero DS. Now wider, more durable and more capable than ever, the Gates Carbon Drive Moto X9™ belt is paired with the Mudport Wheel Sprocket, which features larger, specially opened teeth to reduce bending angles and clear debris from the drive system.
This combination ensures the most durable drive system available on an electric motorcycle.
Headlight (LIGHT UP THE ROAD)
See the road ahead like never before and make sure you are always seen, with the custom full-LED headlight and LED tail light with opal light tube for unmatched side visibility.
In addition, the Zero DS can be fitted with optional LED turn indicators and hazard lights, so you can be sure your intentions are visible from as far away as possible in low-light conditions.
Storage Space
The Zero DS features 28 litres of integrated storage space in various discreet spots around the motorcycle. From the hidden compartments under the seat to the spacious “tank” area, the DS offers smart storage options for your ADV gear.
Furthermore, the Zero DS can be equipped with a variety of specially designed panniers and cases from some of the most trusted names in adventure riding, offering even more flexibility for your excursions.
